Our Downstair setpoint is 74°F, and Upstair is 72°F 24/7 during cold weather, which helps us stay comfortable and in control.
Humidity is more critical than temperature; the OK range is 30-60, and 45 is perfect for us.
Very low or very high humidity is not suitable for our health.
A sound variable HVAC system (Always ON) with humidity and other controllers costs about $20,000 per floor, making it a significant investment that’s hard to justify without clear benefits.
