Does texas voting registration card expire?
Your voter registration in Texas is permanent and does not expire, however, your registration can become inactive or canceled if certain events occur.
Here’s how your voter registration can be impacted:
Inactive/Suspense List:
If you don’t vote in an election for two years, or if your voter registration certificate is returned as undeliverable (for example, if you’ve moved and haven’t updated your address), your registration may be classified as “inactive” or placed on the “suspense list”. You can still vote at your old precinct if you’re on the suspense list within the same county, but you must take action to become active again.
Removal:
If you remain on the suspense list and don’t vote in two consecutive federal elections (typically a period of four years), your name will be removed from the voter rolls. State law requires county tax offices to remove the names of those not voting or contacting them after four years in suspense status.
Moving to a new county:
If you move to a different county in Texas, you must re-register to vote in your new county of residence.
Other qualifying events: Voter registration can also be canceled due to events like a felony conviction, a declaration of mental incapacity, or the voter moving out of state.
When you have arrogant and unedcuated and do not want to learn you would lose your customers. I have no respect for Houston Community College (HCC) Spring Branch employees. I would ask HCC Chancellor who is a nice woman to send two employees of this branch for sensitive training to treat customers well and learn more about voting registration card.
