After visiting a doctor, he told the class he tested positive for COVID-19. One student, who had been coughing, wore a mask for a week but continued to cough during class on Tuesday, 9-17-2025.

Our instructor and a female student were also coughing, and more students are taking breaks.

Given these circumstances, it is now essential to recommend mask-wearing to protect against COVID-19 and flu risks clearly. This step addresses the rising cases, visible symptoms, and ongoing concerns.

Despite these rising cases, our government believes COVID-19 is no longer a serious threat, even holding an ‘Adios Amigo’ party for it.

My new personal guideline is: if any student coughs or sneezes, I will wear a mask for the rest of the semester to protect myself.
